what we do

HOW ARE DONATIONS SPENT?

Croston Together is 100% volunteer run, all donations and money raised goes to worthy community causes that have applied for funding. Big or small we are here to support.

Recreation ground development

A sub-committee has been established to support the Parish Council in turning this piece of land in to a community resource that the village can be really proud of. The Parish Council has recently sponsored phase 1 by providing new playground equipment for toddlers and juniors. However, there is much still to be done in developing this site.

One concern is the poor drainage of the site and the group is looking for support in addressing this before further development work can take place.  Support from local businesses and individuals will be greatly appreciated in helping us to make further progress.

Croston-Azay twinning association

The twinning association lost all of its gazebos in the 2015 floods. These are needed for their annual Bastille Day Fair and other community events. Croston Together has replaced these gazebos which will now be freely available for other organisations to use.

Get in touch if you would like to borrow gazebos for your event.

Croston table tennis club

Croston Together was approached by the table tennis club for some grant funding. At the moment the club is limited to over-50’s. However, they now wish to open the club up to junior members. In order to enable this to happen we have provided the funding for 2 new tables. This will provide more opportunities for our young people to take part in worthwhile sporting activities in the village.

How we have invested donations in 2017

Transparency is really important to us, as we want to make sure the community is aware of how the money they have donated has been put to use. Croston Together is driven by the community and the programmes and events that are funded should reflect the needs of the people who live here. Applications for funding are now open.
